What You Should Know About Membership

Membership is by invitation, with membership guidelines to ensure a diversity of classifications.
Quota is an attendance club, and 100% attendance is desirable. If members visit another city or town
where there is a Quota Club, they may “make up” a meeting by attending that club’s meeting within three months of their own missed meeting.

There are cost being a Quotarian. There is an initiation fee and annual dues, which are usually collected yearly. Part of the dues is international and part district. Other parts are retained by the local club for administration. Some clubs have a lunch or dinner meeting and there are usually small raffles or the other fund raisers. Each club sets its own dues, but the international and district dues are set at conventions and district conferences.

• Leadership Training Seminar

This weekend seminar is designed to train newly elected club officers and to inform them of Quota
International’s goals and plans for the year. Held in April, in the home city of the DisCon Host Club, clubs
send the new President and Secretary, but may send other officers as well.

• Annual District Conference

Clubs send delegates to conference, which is hosted by a different club each year. Business includes Amending District Standing Rules, exchanging of ideas and general communication between the clubs as well as great fellowship across the district.

• Biennial International Convention

You get to meet Quotarians from all over the world.
